‘Yippee!’ said Harey, as he cycled like mad down the hill into the town and rode up onto the pavement.

‘Are you allowed to do that?’ questioned Chips. ‘You might knock someone over.’

Suddenly, a large snail rushed out onto the pavement.

Harey only just avoided colliding with it and turned sharply back onto the road.

Just then a passing car swerved and braked hard to avoid hitting him.

The car stopped and beeped its horn but Harey paid no attention as he continued to dash dangerously down the middle of the road.
